Submissions Accepted on March 27 & 28, 2018, at The Point at C. C. Young
C. C. Young, a distinguished non-profit senior living facility, proudly announces the call for submissions for the 2018 Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest. Individuals aged 55 and older, including both residents of C. C. Young and the broader public, are invited to participate. Entries can be submitted in-person on Tuesday, March 27, and Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at The Point located within C. C. Young.
The annual Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest, which began in 1999, has become a cherished event for the Dallas-Fort Worth community. This contest, accompanied by an art exhibition and a celebration of talent, brings people together to display entries across 19 categories, emphasizing each individual’s timeless creativity and commitment to expressing their artistic voice.

Young, we are committed to fostering growth in our residents and the larger community, enabling every individual to thrive in body, mind, and spirit, regardless of their life circumstances,” stated Brian Parman, Director of The Point & Pavilion at C. C. Young. “This contest is a powerful way to inspire and honor each person’s creative journey.”
The Spirit is Ageless Awards & Celebration Event will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at The Point and is open to all entrants and members of the community. This year’s honored speaker will be JD Miller, a Reflectionist artist and co-founder of Samuel Lynne Galleries. Participants are encouraged to RSVP at rsvp@ccyoung.org or call 214-841-2831.
The contest invites both the general public and C. C. Young residents over the age of 55 to submit their artwork, which must have been created after they turned 55. Individuals from the public can submit one piece for free and are permitted to present an additional piece for a fee of $10, payable upon submission. All artists will be recognized during the Spirit is Ageless Awards & Celebration Event on April 21, 2018.
