By Andrea Peskind Katz | Contributor

It’s that wonderful season once again—the perfect time for diving into captivating reads! There’s simply no better selection of novels ideal for enjoying by the pool or at the beach. Be sure to incorporate these thrilling titles into your summer reading agenda.

Exciting Fiction
The talented Jennifer Weiner has released a new masterpiece, Mrs. Everything, which truly encapsulates every aspect one could hope for in a novel. Jane Green’s latest, The Friends We Keep, is absolutely delightful. Jamie Brenner delivers her finest work yet in Drawing Home. The sizzling The Bride Test by Helen Hoang radiates excitement, much like the summer sun! For me, summer wouldn’t feel complete without a new release from Elin Hilderbrand, and she does not disappoint with Summer of ’69. Mary Kay Andrews, the reigning queen of summer reads, shines once again with her latest, Sunset Beach.

For Fans of Thrillers
Both of these gripping novels had me glued to my seat, finishing them in a single sitting. Dear Wife by Kimberly Belle captivates with a jaw-dropping conclusion. Kaira Rouda also impresses with a deliciously wicked thriller, The Favorite Daughter.

For Historical Fiction Aficionados
Lauren Willig’s The Summer Country transports readers to a sugar plantation in 1950s Barbados, while Resistance Women by Jennifer Chiaverini unveils the poignant narratives of women fighting back during the resistance in 1930s Berlin.
