Tavis Piattoly holds the position of Sports Dietitian and Education Program Manager at the Taylor Hooton Foundation, where he educates athletes, coaches, parents, and healthcare providers about the risks associated with Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances, the safety of dietary supplements, and effective sports nutrition.
With a wealth of experience, he served as the Sports Dietitian for the New Orleans Saints from 2006 to 2013 and with the New Orleans Pelicans from 2008 to 2013. Moreover, he contributed to Tulane Athletics as their Sports Dietitian from 2002 to 2014, and he was involved with the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine’s NFL Players Association Brain and Body program from 2013 to 2016. He has successfully crafted nutrition programs for numerous athletes, including those from the Olympics, NFL, MLB, and NBA, as well as various college and high school teams.
Currently, he is a member of the Science Advisory Board for Examine.com and Nordic Naturals, and he previously served on the Sports Medicine Advisory Board for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association from 2008 to 2015.
