Officer Christopher Bianez Named 2017 Outstanding Crime Prevention Specialist

On July 27th, the Texas Crime Prevention Association hosted an awards luncheon during which Officer Christopher Bianez was honored as the “Outstanding Crime Prevention Specialist” of the year in the large agency category. His selection recognized him among all Crime Prevention Officers throughout the state. Public Information Officer David Tilley of the Plano Police Department stated, “We are proud of his achievement and honored to have him on our team, dedicated to serving our wonderful citizens.”

Officer Bianez has been a member of the Plano Police Department since 1997 and is currently a key player in the Crime Prevention Unit, focusing on safety education for tweens, teens, and adults. In addition to his duties at the department, he conducts workshops on trampoline safety and martial arts aimed at empowering adults to prevent becoming victims of crime. He is dedicated to enhancing safety for families, properties, neighborhoods, and businesses.

Additionally, Bianez is a past member of the Rodrigosaffiliates MAGAZINE Editorial Advisory Board.

He frequently shares his inspiring personal journey of overcoming significant challenges as a guest speaker at schools in Plano. He encourages students by conveying that while negative events may happen, they can still lead a fulfilling and positive life. Bianez emphasizes, “Good people do exist in the world. Not everyone is evil. It’s about making the right choices.”

Christopher Bianez’s life illustrates a remarkable transition, turning past adversities into invaluable lessons. “What I once saw as the most significant hardship in my life has become my greatest blessing,” he reflects. “It was the pivotal event that defined my purpose: to empower youth to remain drug and violence-free.”
