Cheesecake Cookie Cups

Recipe provided by “Cookin’ Savvy”

Yield: 12 servings

2 packages (16 ounces each) of chocolate chip cookie dough

Whipped Cream:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons of sugar

Filling:

8 ounces of softened cream cheese

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Crumbled cookies for garnish (optional)

Sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a muffin tin, press three pieces of cookie dough into each muffin cavity. Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then use a shot glass to create an indent in each cookie cup. Cool for an additional 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Using a hand mixer, beat the heavy cream and sugar until thickened, then incorporate the cream cheese and powdered sugar until well combined. Spoon the mixture into the cooled cookie cups.

If desired, pipe a decorative edge around the filling using a piping bag. Finish by adding crumbled cookies or sprinkles on top, if you like.
