Join us in our mission to stuff a bus!
This coming Friday, December 6, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., DART invites you to participate in its annual Stuff a Bus event at SMU/Mockingbird Station, where your donations will make a difference to those in need.
Stuff A Bus is an initiative driven by DART employees aimed at supporting families and individuals across North Texas facing hardships. This event is part of two separate DART-sponsored drives: the Santa Cops and Comforting of the Souls campaigns. Each year, DART police officers and operators seek community assistance to fill a bus with generous contributions.
During the event, we will be collecting new adult socks, blankets, canned goods, and unwrapped toys. The socks and blankets are intended for local nursing homes, while the toys and food will aid families in need. Throughout the year, officers identify these families in the community and personally deliver the gifts to them.
When you’re out shopping, consider lending a helping hand to fellow North Texans who are facing challenges in purchasing these needed items.
Look for the impressive 40-foot DART Stuff-A-Bus parked at SMU/Mockingbird Station. K104 will be broadcasting live from the event until 10 a.m., and our dedicated DART employees will be present throughout the day. The station is conveniently accessible via the Red, Blue, and Orange lines, along with several bus routes. Ample parking is available at the location: 5465 E. Mockingbird Lane, just east of the North Central Expressway intersection.
