Initiative part of Coca-Cola USA’s national effort inspired by the

30thanniversary of the Coca-Cola Scholars program

The Coca-Cola Company USA has introduced an exciting new initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Dallas to assist approximately 100,000 veterans in the DFW area with their transition into civilian careers. Named Dear Future Dallas, this program is part of a broader national campaign by Coca-Cola aimed at energizing young Americans to rejuvenate their communities.

Dear Future Dallas builds on the legacy of the iconic Coca-Cola Scholars* program. In celebration of this program’s milestone 30th anniversary, Coca-Cola is collaborating with Scholars to encourage young individuals aged 18-24 nationwide to be change-makers by sharing their visions for enhancing and revitalizing their communities through the Dear Future Challenge. Dallas is among 15 cities where participants can submit innovative proposals to tackle local issues. More information about the communities and their specific challenges is available at www.coke.com/dearfuturecommunity.

One champion from each city will be awarded a one-time grant of $30,000 to implement their concept, in addition to the chance to work directly with a network of highly creative and accomplished leaders, including those from Coca-Cola Northern New England and associated community partners.

“Dallas and CCSWB have consistently dedicated themselves to aiding veterans in securing civilian employment, yet our mission is far from over,” stated Ish Arebalos, Director of Public Affairs at CCSWB. “With nearly 100,000 veterans in Dallas, who possess extraordinary skills and leadership capabilities, Dear Future Dallas will harness the enthusiasm and drive of young adults to take a proactive stance in tackling this intricate challenge with fresh ideas and insights.”

To join the Dear Future Dallas challenge, young adults aged 18 to 24 may present their ideas online or in person at campuses across North Texas this fall. Following the challenge’s conclusion in mid-October, CCSWB and The Coca-Cola Company will grant $30,000 to one impactful idea. The challenge winner will collaborate with mentors from Coca-Cola Scholars and local non-profits to transform their vision into reality. Further details and submission guidelines can be found at www.coke.com/dearfuturecommunity.
