Recipe provided by “Cookin’ Savvy”
Servings: 24 mini bundts
Ingredients:
- 1 box of confetti cake mix
- 1 stick of melted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of milk
For the Chocolate Toppers:
- 1 cup melting chips in various colors
- Silicone molds in shapes of your choice for Easter candy
- 1 pouch of ready-to-use green icing
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and milk. Transfer the batter into a greased mini bundt pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool before carefully removing from the pan.
To prepare the chocolate toppers: In a separate bowl for each color, microwave the melting chips in one-minute increments, stirring until they are fully melted. Place the melted chips into baggies and cut off a small corner. Carefully pipe the melted chocolate into your chosen molds and freeze for 15-20 minutes. Once the bundt cakes have cooled, apply the green icing to create a “grass” effect, and then add the chocolate pieces on top.
Tip for Substitution: To save time on the toppers, consider using pre-made chocolate bunnies, eggs, crosses, or marshmallow bunnies from the store.
