Explore and Educate at the Dallas Holocaust Museum

The Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance is committed to honoring the legacy of the Holocaust while promoting moral and ethical responses to issues of prejudice, hatred, and indifference that affect all of humanity. Situated in the Historic West End of Dallas, the Museum attracts over 65,500 visitors each year, including 31,000 students. It has gained acclaim for its engaging programming, award-winning exhibits, and renowned speakers. Approximately 125 survivors, refugees, and hidden children from the Holocaust reside in North Texas.

CURRENT EXHIBITION: THE WAR TIME ESCAPE

Currently on display is “The War Time Escape: Margret and H. A. Rey’s Journey from France.” Margret and H. A. Rey, the creative duo behind the beloved Curious George children’s book series, faced a perilous escape from Nazi-occupied France, fraught with close calls and thrilling moments. Throughout their journey, they safeguarded the manuscript for the playful monkey that would later capture the hearts of many.

GROUP AND SCHOOL TOURS

Groups with 30 or more attendees from grade 7 onward can request survivor speakers to share their experiences.
