Jake Lever is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

The 6 feet t inches tall athlete primarily plays as a half-back and is best known for his intercept making and ability to read the play. Jake often dazzled the crowd with his playing skills on the field.

Lever was one of the top prospects heading into the 2014 AFL draft; however, the athlete slipped through to pick fourteen and was recruited by the Adelaide Football Club.

A few hours ago, Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin stated that the Demons are simply playing it safe with star defender Jake Lever, who is a late out for Wednesday night’s game with the Western Bulldogs.

As per Goodwin, Lever had ruptured the plantar fascia in his foot, and further explained that it was good news for the athlete’s recovery, long-term.

The athlete simply couldn’t get up for the first game of the season; Simon explained why the athlete wasn’t playing tonight.

In December 2021, Jake had to leave the training after fainting during Melbourne’s first session. Later he was sent home for rest and recovery to return to training later in the week.

The athlete has had a difficult start to his career at the Dees, rupturing his ACL in Round 11 last season, upon returning to the senior side, he copped a knock to that same knee.

Previously, the athlete went down with a knee injury from an innocuous incident in the first term of the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Clash.
