This institution is part of the celebrated Prosper Independent School District (ISD), known for its excellence and rapid growth. Acknowledging the importance of quality education to community vibrancy, developer Republic Property Group (RPG) has strategically designed Light Farms for children to easily walk or bike to school. RPG has contributed 11 acres within the community, along with a $2 million donation to Prosper ISD for the construction of the elementary school, with additional plans for future educational facilities and daycare centers. For families with teenagers, the newly constructed $113.5 million high school is conveniently located adjacent to the community.

As RPG Marketing Coordinator Stephanie Liebbe explains, Light Farms aims to “transform families’ perspectives on suburban living.” Established in 2012 in award-winning Collin County, the community promotes a vibrant lifestyle aimed at bringing people together. To foster this spirit, a variety of community events, including concert series, farm-to-table gatherings, field days, and movie nights are planned to take place on the central lawn. The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) initiative provides access to fresh organic produce from local farm Johnson’s Backyard Garden, with distributions held every Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM at the central Barn Yard. Additionally, the Farm Stand at Light Farms supports local sourcing with a natural food co-op that offers grass-fed beef, organic cheeses, coffee, nuts, and skin care items, available to both residents and the surrounding community.

Emphasizing a lifestyle focused on well-being, Light Farms features a fully equipped fitness center, four luxurious pools, and four tennis courts, while new amenities for basketball and bocce ball are now available, with plans for pickleball and sand volleyball in the near future.

Scenic trails for hiking and biking wind through the community, encouraging families to stay active, with a bike-sharing program in place for convenience. Furthermore, Light Farms boasts 132 acres of beautifully maintained green spaces, including a greenbelt, playgrounds, pocket parks, and an elaborate lake system to enrich the residents’ outdoor experience.
